I wrote my books as there was nothing of their kind available. It was the first independent effort to introduce some meritocracy to modern Greek wine. The book use the less pedantic 5 star rating system, something previously unknown in Greece. The results gave the profiled producers a chance to have a basic tool for exports and the books sold out. After taking a breather of sorts, from three publications of The Greek Wine Guide, I geared up for a totally new book, The Illustrated Greek Wine Book. It was the first of my books to cover all the new, emerging and more established quality regions. |
